3rd Signal Brigade
B Company, 16th Signal Battalion
Fort Hood, Texas
(April 1991 - January 1995)
My first duty assignment in the Army.  Travelled to the Netherlands and Germany during the REFORGER 1991 Exercise, Fort Irwin, CA for a desert warfare exercise, and White Sands, NM for the Roving Sands 1994 exercise.
16th Signal Battalion

17th Aviation Brigade
A Company, 4/58 Aviation Battalion
Camp Coiner, South Korea
(February 1995 - February 1996)
With my first re-enlistment, I requested Korea.  During my short year in Korea I enjoyed living in this Asian culture and the especially tasty food.  We plan to visit this country after retirement.
4/58 Aviation Battalion

4th Infantry Division
HHC, 3-66 Armor Battalion
Fort Hood, Texas
(March 1996 - April 1997)
This unit was bad on so many levels, that I decided to get out of the Army.  I'm not the only one who felt this way, and I've not seen another unit where so many good NCOs and Officers left, as if on a sinking ship.
3-66 Armor Battalion

91st Infantry Division
1st Simulation Exercise Group
Camp Parks, California
(May 1998 - May 1999)
After one year as a civilian, I missed wearing the uniform and joined the Reserves.  But after only one year as a Reservist, I realized that my knowledge and experience were going to waste, so I decided to go back on Active Duty.
1st Brigade

30th Field Artillery Regiment
HHB, 1-30th Field Artillery
Fort Sill, Oklahoma
(May 1999 - August 2001)
Back on Active Duty, this unit tested my abilities.  Working at the Field Artillery school house, with over 45 different people signed for property all over the post, this was definitely one of my more difficult assignments.
1-30 Field Artillery Battalion

Cadet Command
Texas Christian University ROTC
Fort Worth, Texas
(September 2001 - May 2005)
One of my most rewarding assignments.  Being part of the process of grooming 18-year old kids into mature leaders only a few years later, was a wonderful experience.
Texas Christian University ROTC

1st Armored Division
C Company, 2-6 Infantry
Baumholder, Germany
(September 2005 - January 2007)
I deployed to Forward Operating Base Falcon, Baghdad, Iraq with this unit.  It was a difficult year with friends lost, but the experience helped to make me a better NCO.
2-6 Infantry Battalion

1st Armored Division
HHD, 47th Forward Support Battalion
Baumholder, Germany
(February 2007 - July 2009)
With my promotion to Sergeant First-Class, I requested a transfer to 47th FSB to assume the duties of S-4 NCOIC.
47th Forward Support Battalion

170th Infantry Brigade
HHC, 24th Brigade Support Battalion
Baumholder, Germany
(July 2009 - September 2009)
Just prior to my leaving Germany, 47th FSB was transferred to Fort Bliss, and we were re-designated as the 24th Brigade Support Battlion.
24th Brigade Support Battalion

FIRES Center of Excellence
US Army NCO Academy
Fort Sill, Oklahoma
(October 2009 - June 2012)
Assigned as the S-4 NCOIC.  This was my last assignment prior to retirement.
